Krysten Ritter has revealed she’d love to return as Lady Vengeance in Dexter: Resurrection Season 2, even though her character died in the first season. This comes as the next installment got officially greenlit.
Krysten Ritter is interested in playing Lady Vengeance on Dexter: Resurrection Season 2
Even though her character, Mia La Pierre, infamously known as Lady Vengeance, met a grim end in a prison cell, Krysten Ritter is more than ready to find a way back. The actress confirmed her keen interest in returning to the world of Dexter: Resurrection in Season 2.
“Yes, I would definitely be open to it. I definitely loved playing that character. I also loved my experience on the show,” Ritter told ScreenRant. She talked about the familiar and collaborative environment, as the series reunited her with the creatives from her time on Jessica Jones, including executive producer Scott Reynolds.
“They wrote that for me and I love him so much,” she continued. “The show has a lot of the same crew as Jessica Jones… It felt like I fit really well and that cast, it was just so delicious. But that character, that’s another one very rare character to come across my desk.”
Mia La Pierre was killed off in a plot orchestrated by Leon Prater, with her death staged to look like a suicide to protect a secret serial killer club. However, in the Dexter universe, death is often not a permanent exit. The series has a long tradition of resurrecting characters through flashbacks, hallucinations, and other narrative devices, so the return of Lady Vengeance is entirely plausible.
Moreover, Krysten Ritter’s comments arrive on the heels of the official season 2 renewal, which promises to further expand the Dexter universe. The upcoming season is expected to show more of its morally grey characters and create stronger links to previous series entries, including New Blood and the Original Sin.
