Jennifer Lawrence on How She Relaxed While Filming New Movie

Jennifer Lawrence recently revealed in an interview how she relaxed after shooting intense scenes for her new movie Die My Love. The film, directed by Lynne Ramsay, comes out on November 7, 2025. It follows the story of Grace, a writer who slowly drifts into psychosis after the birth of her child, and her husband, Jackson, played by Robert Pattinson, who helplessly tries to deal with her behavior.

Jennifer Lawrence sat down for an interview with Entertainment Tonight, along with her Die My Love co-star Sissy Spacek. The interviewer began by addressing how Lawrence spoke about filming the movie while she was four or five months pregnant.

She asked the Hunger Games actress how it helped her tap into the energy and headspace needed to play Grace in the film. “It was really helpful, because when you’re pregnant, you’re kind of animalistic,” said Lawrence.

She continued to explain how new parts of the brain become “awake and aware” while pregnant, adding that there are elements of Grace which made her feel like a “caged animal.”

“So having that energy was nice,” Lawrence shared. Further, referring to the heavier scenes in the film, the interviewer asked Lawrence what she did to decompress after shooting them. Lawrence replied saying, “Well fortunately, the Secret Lives of Mormon Tiktokers (Wives) was on Hulu, and as we know they release [the episodes] all at once.” As she spoke about the show being her way of relaxation after an intense shoot day, she said, “So it wasn’t like I had one [episode] a week. So no problemo for me.”

Soon, Lawrence shared she is excited for the next season of the show, then turning to Spacek and asking her if she watches it with her daughters. At the same time, she admitted that “the soda thing” made her sick because she was pregnant. “When I would watch them squirt all those… into those huge sodas, that made me, like, sick,” Lawrence said.
