Tracy Morgan returns as Francois “Frank” Crutchfield in Paramount+’s Crutch, a Neighborhood spinoff premiering November 3. In the trailer, released by Paramount+, Morgan’s character introduces himself by saying, “This is my story. I’m gonna tell it,” setting the tone for a comedy rooted in family and community.

Set in Harlem, Crutch follows a shop owner whose life turns chaotic when his adult children, played by Jermaine Fowler and Adrianna Mitchell, move back home with their kids. In one scene, Crutch warns his grandchildren on the subway, “Pay attention kids. You all are getting your first lessons in the dos and don’ts of riding the subway in NY.” When one child asks, “I thought picking up money was good luck?,” Crutch replies, “It’s a trick. That’s how they caught Martha Stewart.”

The series also stars Kecia Lewis, Braxton Paul, Adrian Martinez, and Finn Maloney. Morgan will guest-star the same night on The Neighborhood episode “Welcome to Family Value,” airing November 3 at 8 p.m. on CBS.

In that episode, Calvin Butler (Cedric the Entertainer) reaches out to his cousin Crutch to help Malcolm (Sheaun McKinney) get a floor deal, leading Crutch to Los Angeles where he disrupts Tina (Tichina Arnold) and reveals an emotional side.

Owen Smith created Crutch, and Cedric the Entertainer, Eric C. Rhone, Aaron Kaplan, Wendi Trilling, Mike Mariano, and Tracy Morgan executive-produce the series. CBS Studios produces the show, while Paramount Global Content Distribution manages its international release.

All eight episodes will stream on Paramount+ starting November 3.
