According to a new rumor, Avengers: Doomsday hasn’t announced its full cast yet and won’t reveal it until the movie’s release next year. In March 2025, Marvel Studios announced over 20 cast members who will appear in Doomsday alongside Robert Downey Jr’s Victor von Doom / Doctor Doom. At the time, Marvel teased that more cast members could be added later.
Avengers: Doomsday rumored to keep a few surprises secret
Scooper Alex Perez claimed during The Cosmic Circus‘ September Q&A that Marvel has maintained secrecy around several cast members of Avengers: Doomsday and wouldn’t reveal their names before the movie’s premiere.
When asked if there are any surprise characters in Doomsday that haven’t been announced and whether the scooper can mention a few, Perez responded, “Definitely. And the goal is not to reveal them until the release of Doomsday.”
He continued, “Even if I did mention who they were planning to involve, we’d be stuck in this limbo of will they/won’t they for the next year or so. But most of the characters that haven’t been officially announced have either been rumored by me, other scoopers, or YouTubers.”
Doomsday is one of the most highly anticipated movies set to come out next year, so it makes sense that Marvel Studios, well known for attempts to maintain secrecy around its projects, would try to keep some of the Doomsday cast members under wraps.
When Perez was asked if any of the unannounced cast members had wrapped filming for Doomsday or were currently filming, he replied, “I can confirm that there are actors who weren’t announced that were filming recently for Avengers: Doomsday in the land down under.”
Anthony and Joe Russo are directing Avengers: Doomsday from a script by Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely. Besides Downey Jr., the cast includes Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards / Mister Fantastic, and Letitia Wright as Shuri / Black Panther.
Avengers: Doomsday premieres in US theaters on December 18, 2026.
