MobLand Season 2 has got a release date update after actor Joanne Froggatt revealed the filming status. The crime drama, which was released on Paramount+ on March 30, 2025, garnered critical acclaim and was renewed for a second installment in June. The series features Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, Froggatt, Helen Mirren, Paddy Considine, and more.

MobLand Season 2’s release date could be set for 2026 based on the filming update provided by Joanne Frogatt.
Froggatt recently spoke to MovieWeb while promoting Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale and revealed that the shooting for MobLand Season 2 will begin “towards the end of October.” She continued, “I’m so looking forward to going back to film Season Two of Mobland. I loved, loved, loved it. I mean, it was such a great script and such a great character. Just incredible cast.” She continued, “Yeah, I feel really, really blessed. I love playing Jan. I always wanted to play a gangster’s wife or a gangster, and then she came my way.”
MobLand, created by Ronan Bennett, consisted of 10 episodes and concluded with a cliffhanger ending, leaving fans eager to find out what’s to come in Season 2. It received a score of 76 percent on the Tomatometer based on the critic reviews, whereas on the Popcornmeter, the series got 70 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.
Following its renewal in June 2025, one of Paramount Global’s CEOs, Chris McCarthy and the president of Showtime/MTV Entertainment, said, “With more than 26 million viewers and climbing, MobLand has become a resounding triumph — driven by the creative brilliance of Guy, Jez, Ronan, and David Glasser, and brought to life by the powerhouse performances of Tom, Pierce, and Helen.
