What Did Upload’s Robbie Amell Say About Potential Spin-off?

Robbie Amell recently addressed the possibility of an Upload spin-off following the show’s series finale on Prime Video. In a new interview, he hinted at the future of the story after Season 4 and whether fans might see the universe continue in another form.

Robbie Amell is open to the prospects of Upload spin-off

Robbie Amell told Us Weekly that Nathan’s story in Upload has ended, but he would return if showrunner Greg Daniels created a spin-off. “If Greg were to come to me and be like, ‘I have this idea for a spin-off?’ Great. I’m in. If it’s Greg, no question,” Amell stated.

Amell noted that he could imagine a lighthearted continuation with Nathan and Luke after their deaths, joking about a “buddy comedy in real heaven.” He explained, “We’ve done the digital afterlife. Now let’s see what the afterlife is, and they get to reconnect.” The finale showed Nathan choose to die naturally instead of re-uploading, and his choice left Nora with only his preserved memories.

Andy Allo, who plays Nora, also expressed interest in extending the world of Upload if Daniels created a new project. “Oh, I’m there. Listen, Greg calls me, I’m anywhere that man wants me. He has my heart,” she said. “He’s changed my life, so I’m forever grateful, and it’d be such a dream to keep working with him and bringing his writing to life.”

Both actors emphasized their trust in Daniels’ storytelling, highlighting how he explored multiple endings before choosing the one that closed the series. Amell explained, “It leaves people in a place with closure, and you’re happy for the people who are left.” Allo described the ending as a “beautiful arc” for Nora, despite the loss of Nathan.

Neither Amell nor Allo confirmed a spin-off, but both expressed interest in returning if Greg Daniels continues the Upload universe. Season 4, ending with Nathan’s death, closed the series on Prime Video.
