FX chairman issues statement as The Bear Season 5 gets renewed
According to a recent Deadline report, FX has decided to pick up The Bear for Season 5. John Landgraf, who serves as the chairman of the television network, explained why they opted to continue with the critically acclaimed series by highlighting the positive reviews it has garnered, as well as its high viewership count.
Talking about FX’s decision to commission Season 5 of The Bear, Landgraf noted, “The Bear continues to be a fan favorite worldwide, and their response to this season — as seen through incredibly high viewership — has been as spectacular as any of its previous seasons. Year in and year out, Chris Storer, the producers, cast, and crew make The Bear one of the best shows on television, and we are excited that they will continue to tell this magnificent story.“
The fourth season of The Bear saw White’s Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto, Ayo Edebiri’s Sydney Adamu, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s Richard “Richie” Jerimovich join forces to guarantee the survival of the titular restaurant. The trio also makes a sincere attempt to take The Bear to the next level, but soon realizes that fulfilling such a dream requires several sacrifices.
The aforementioned report also suggests that The Bear Season 5 could premiere sometime in 2026. Going by the release patterns of the previous installments in the series, the upcoming season could hit screens in June of next year, provided that there are no scheduling conflicts among cast members.
