HBO recently unveiled the actors who have been cast to portray Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter reboot. Following the announcement, many fans went on to express their feelings regarding the casting, and the reactions have turned out to be positive. The WB production on HBO will cover each book of the popular fantasy series written by JK Rowling.
Hermione, Ron and Harry Potter’s reboot casting get fans’ seal of approval
The actors who would lead the Harry Potter series as Harry, Ron, and Hermione were revealed by HBO recently. The actors are Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout as Ronald (Ron) Weasley.
After a lengthy audition process involving more than 30,000 actors, the aforementioned child actors were selected to become the Golden Trio.
Fans have given their reactions regarding the new cast, and they appear to be happy with the casting. A user named @Owachatinn labelled Ron and Hermione’s casting as “PERFECTION DEAR LORDDD.”
Another user on X (formerly Twitter) complimented the actors and wrote, “They’re adorable.”
A third user lauded Stout’s casting as Ron Weasley and commented, “Ron Weasley is so perfect casting for me.”
User @lovetospare shared images of the Granger actor Stanton and wrote, “This is literally hermione granger.”
Another user chimed in to appreciate the casting of Hermione and stated, “That’s a more Book accurate look.”
A user named @vera referred to Stanton and wrote, “Shes so cute, exactly how i imagined Hermione in the books.”
After announcing the lead cast of the Harry Potter series, showrunner Francesca Gardiner and director Mark Mylod released a joint statement, wherein they mentioned, “After an extraordinary search led by casting directors Lucy Bevan and Emily Brockmann, we are delighted to announce we have found our Harry, Hermione and Ron.” It further reads, “The talent of these three unique actors is wonderful to behold, and we cannot wait for the world to witness their magic together onscreen.”
