Max Renews Hacks Season 5 Ahead of Season 4 Finale

The popular comedy series Hacks has been renewed for Season 5 by Max, ahead of its Season 4 finale. Hacks debuted on May 13, 2021, and has received positive reviews from critics and viewers. The comedy drama features a talented star cast that includes Jean Smart, Hannah Einbinder, Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Megan Stalter, Rose Abdoo, and many more.

Hacks Season 5 gets renewed at Max

Max has announced that Hacks has been renewed for fifth season in a recent press release. With Season 4 concluding on Thursday, May 29, fans won’t have to wait longer for the next season.

The announcement on the press statement read, “Max has renewed HACKS for a fifth season ahead of the season four finale, debuting this THURSDAY, MAY 29 at 6.00 p.m. PT/9.00 p.m. ET. Over the course of its run, the series has garnered 48 Emmy® nominations, including a season three win for Outstanding Comedy Series.”

Furthermore, Max shared that Hacks Season 4 “has been pacing as the series’ best season yet and has achieved both domestic and global week-over-week growth every week so far this season.”

Following its debut on Max, Season 4 of Hacks made it to the top 5 list of series to air on the network. Showrunners Lucia Aniello, Paul W. Downs, and Jen Statsky also disclosed the news at an Emmy FYC screening in Los Angeles on Tuesday, May 27.

Following the Hacks Season 5 announcement, Max Original Programming head, Sarah Aubrey, stated, “Yes! More! We congratulate HACKS’ singularly talented cast and crew and our great partners at Universal Television.”

On the other hand, Universal Television president, Erin Underhill, commented, “Like Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) herself, HACKS only gets bolder, sharper, and more iconic with time. We’re beyond thrilled to keep the laughter rolling with Jen, Paul, Lucia, our extraordinary cast and crew, and our partners at Max.”
