As fans gear up for the release of the Brad Pitt-led F1 movie, the project has already received its first reactions from none other than real-life Formula 1 racers. During a special screening organized in Monaco, F1 professionals such as Lando Norris, Charles Leclerc, Esteban Ocon, and more got a chance to witness the upcoming Joseph Kosinski-helmed movie and subsequently shared their opinions on the highly anticipated sports drama.

Co-produced by seven-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton, the forthcoming F1 movie not only encapsulates the fictional journey of a retired racer who decides to return to the sport after years, but also features actual Formula 1 drivers of the present. In accordance, some of the involved sportsmen have come out to review the film after catching it during a special screening.
Lando Norris, who recently triumphed at the Monaco Grand Prix for McLaren, showered praise on the film’s plot while noting his first reaction. He stated, “It was a cool story, I think an inspirational story – it had a lot of different meanings behind it all. But a cool storyline and a lot of inspiration for young people coming into it,” as per Formula 1‘s official website.
Meanwhile, Ferrari’s star driver Charles Leclerc echoed Norris’ sentiments, stating, “The storytelling is really cool and the images are just incredible. The job that the team has done in order to have different angles that we don’t actually see on racetracks is really cool. I really enjoyed it.”
Haas’ Esteban Ocon seems to have found a personal connection with Brad Pitt’s character, going as far as to label F1 as “definitely the best movie of racing” that he has ever seen. Meanwhile, Alpine’s Pierre Gasly expressed faith in the movie’s success, remarking that “people are going to enjoy” it, as “it’s a real dive into our world of Formula 1.”
Also starring Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, and Tobias Menzies, among others, alongside Brad Pitt, F1 is on track to hit the theaters on June 27, 2025.
