If I have to walk across some suspension bridge to get to my destination, I think I’m okay accepting the fact that I will never reach my destination. Because as someone who is afraid of heights, I can’t even imagine what it would be like if that bridge were to collapse like it did to the hikers in this video.
French hikers on the Lake Waikaremoana Great Walk in New Zealand were all caught by surprise when the suspension bridge they were walking across gave out and dropped them all to the waters below.

A cord holding the bridge “released,” causing it to collapse, but fortunately none of the hikers were hurt.
The bridge is currently still closed.
