‘I Didn’t Know Where I Fit In’: Meghan Markle’s School Journey May Help Archie Make More Friends

Ever since Prince Harry‘s highly anticipated reconciliation with King Charles in the UK, speculation about the Sussexes returning to the UK has gone viral. Among many rumors, one claimed that the duke registered his son, Archie, at his alma mater, Eton College. Although the couple’s spokesperson denied the claim, the topic gathered significant interest. This includes Meghan Markle‘s revelation of her ‘loner’ school past in her 2022 Archetypes podcast episode.

In light of the attention surrounding Archie’s prospective institution, his mother “not knowing where she fit in” may ultimately benefit him once he begins his education.

Meghan Markle’s school experience may help Archie make more friends

Meghan Markle may be a well-known former actor and a duchess, but even she has had her share of feeling like an outcast. Now that her son, Archie, is ready to go to school, revelations about her own journey may help him make more friends. In a September 2022 episode of Archetypes, she confessed to being a “bit of a loner” in her school days.

Speaking to guest Mindy Kaling, Markle recalled that her shy nature made it difficult for her to mingle with people. She said, “I didn’t know where I fit in.” The “As Ever” founder followed up with ways she would keep herself busy so that she didn’t have to socialise with her schoolmates. The duchess recalled signing up to be the president of the “multicultural club,” “sophomore class,” and more.

This way, Markle explained, she would be so busy with meetings during lunchtime and wouldn’t have to worry about who to sit with and mingle. The Netflix star’s habit of keeping herself busy with hobbies and school activities is something she could pass on to her son Archie once he starts school.

After rumors that the six-year-old would be going to Eton College, the Sussexes’ spokesperson dismissed the same in a statement. It read, “I can confirm that the Duke has not put his son’s name down for Eton and has no plans to send his son there.”

Since stepping down from their royal duties in 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been raising their two kids, Archie and Lilibet, in California.
