Offset says he ‘just want all peace’ as he supports ex Cardi B amid divorce
In his latest conversation with TMZ‘s Charlie Cotton, Offset revealed that he is seeking peace with his ex-wife, Cardi B. Cotton asked the 33-year-old rapper if the Grammy Award-winning singer’s upcoming album, “Am I the Drama?” might affect his latest release, “Kiari.” Moreover, the reporter asked if the ex-couple’s “kids gonna have both their parents nominated for album of the year?” To this, Offset replied, “For sure.”
Additionally, Cotton asked, “You guys gonna go up against each other maybe?” However, the “Bodies” singer replied, “I just want all peace, man, for us to win, everybody gotta win.” He continued, “We got kids to take care of, we got to catch the dubs.” Offset also confirmed supporting the “WAP” hitmaker’s much-awaited upcoming album. He stated, “For sure. That s**t hard, she’s gonna do her big one, too.”
Recently, Offset also offered interesting insights on his new song, “Move On,” from his album “Kiari. ” It is suggested that the song is about the end of his and Cardi B’s relationship. The rapper told Associated Press, “It’s about moving on peacefully. That’s what the message is supposed to be.” He also explained that the track is also about “love” and “peace.” “I just ended that up with the album, just to end that chapter of that s**t. Because it’s just [time to] move on, it’s over and done with,” he added.
Moreover, the musician stated he is ready to move on from their relationship, stating, “It was great while it lasted… That shouldn’t be the topic for either one of us no more. It’s a book that’s closed.” For the unversed, Cardi B filed for a divorce from Offset in July 2024. In October of the same year, she sparked romance rumors with NFL player Stefon Diggs. In June, she confirmed the same on her Instagram.
