Country Singer Turned Down by Sabrina Carpenter: ‘She Didn’t Care’

Sabrina Carpenter has a huge fan base, and among them, one die-hard fan is Tucker Wetmore. He recently spoke about his efforts to contact the star on Harry Jowsey’s “Boyfriend Material” podcast on Tuesday, revealing he slid into her DM’s but never heard back from Carpenter, most likely because “she didn’t care.”

Tucker Wetmore had high hopes when he slid into Sabrina Carpenter’s DMs. However, he is still waiting to hear back from the pop icon. The country singer revealed his side of the story on Harry Jowsey’s “Boyfriend Material” podcast on August 19.  While talking about his current relationship status, Jowsey asked, “Is there anyone, um, any celebrities that you’ve reached out to or DM potentially? Oh, this could be good. Sabrina Carpenter?”

The 25-year-old singer responded, “Yeah, I did.” He then revealed that the pop icon has still not responded to his DM, telling, “[Carpenter] probably didn’t even see it.” However, he recalled sending her a sweet message, saying, “Trying to think of something clever, but wanna keep it short and sweet.” Although Wetmore “thought” the message was “awesome,” his efforts did not pay off as the “Espresso” singer “didn’t care” to respond to him yet.

It’s not the first time Wetmore has talked about Carpenter. Last month, during the ‘shot it or say it’-style interview with Page Six, the singer expressed his desire to collaborate with the pop star. Following this, the host asked the singer to “follow” Carpenter before encouraging him to send her a DM, making Wetmore nervous.

“What do I say? Hey Sabrina, I’m drunk at noon on a Thursday. What are you doing?” he said while thinking of the message. He even suggested a few other hilarious options like “Hey, you can be my best friend,” “You wanna be friends?,” and “I love you.” However, after much deliberation and nervous laughs, he sent a “pretty smooth” message to Carpenter, which he revealed on Jowsey’s podcast.
