Taylor Swift’s New Album Possibly Includes a Song About Travis Kelce

By now, almost everyone is aware that Taylor Swift made her official debut on the New Heights podcast, hosted by Travis and Jason Kelce. However, the podcast also served as the grand reveal of her 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl.” The record, set for release on October 3, was announced with a full tracklist. It included a title that has been generating buzz lately, “Actually Romantic.”

During the reading, Jason Kelce quipped, “I wonder who that’s about.” It sparked speculation that the song might nod to her relationship with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.

Recorded during her Europe tour last year, “The Life of a Showgirl” is, according to Swift, a reflection of “everything that was going on behind the curtain” during that period. The pop star described the project as “the record I’ve been wanting to make for a very long time.” She added that it came from “the most infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in in my life.”

Travis Kelce, who admitted he has already heard the entire album, shared his verdict, “It’s so much fun… they’re all 12 bangers.” He called it “a complete 180” from her previous work, “The Tortured Poets Department.” Kelce praised its “upbeat” tone and dance-worthy energy. Swift agreed, simply stating, “Life is more upbeat.”

The 12-track lineup features titles such as “The Fate of Ophelia,” “Elizabeth Taylor,” and “Ruin the Friendship.” Fans have also been eyeing “Opalite” as a possible nod to Kelce, given the subtle connections between its title and personal details from his life. The record also includes a collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter on the title track.

Swift explained that she wanted the music to mirror how her life felt at the time. “I wanted the album to feel the way my life felt,” she said. “This completely matches the way that my life has felt.” The album will be released on October 3, alongside a website reset that revealed the cover art and a countdown.

It is yet to be confirmed if “Actually Romantic” — or even “Opalite” — is about Kelce. Still, the playful moment on New Heights has already set fans buzzing — and counting down the days until release.
