Ana de Armas and Tom Cruise have returned to work following a quiet getaway in New England.
According to PEOPLE, the two recently spent time together in Vermont, where de Armas has a home. The source said the actress “enjoyed being the host” during their stay and noted, “she loves spending time with Tom.”
The visit came just ahead of filming their new project, Deeper, a supernatural ocean thriller directed by Doug Liman. The insider described the film as “a very important project for both of them,” adding that they are “very focused” as production begins. “They’ll have an intense shooting schedule, but they are ready,” the source said.
While this marks the first time the two are working together on-screen, de Armas is reportedly “both excited and nervous.” The insider also added, “It’s her first time working with Tom and she wants to bring her best. She knows Tom has high standards on set, but she’s ready for the challenge.”
Speculation about their relationship began earlier this year when the actors were seen out together in London. Since then, the two stars have continued to be spotted spending time together. This includes sharing a helicopter ride in the U.K., enjoying a boat day in Spain, and attending an Oasis concert in London.
Most recently, photos surfaced of Cruise and de Armas holding hands during their Vermont visit. At the time, the source told PEOPLE, “She was excited to host Tom and show him around. She took him to all her favorite spots.”
