In a May interview with the outlet, the prince shared his thoughts on losing a legal challenge over his security in the U.K. Prince Harry expressed his desire to reconcile with the royal family but confessed that King Charles isn’t speaking to him due to a dispute over his security. However, he hoped to mend the rift with his father. Referring to his cancer battle, he said, “I don’t know how much longer my father has.”
Prince Harry’s speculation on King Charles’ health only caused more trouble in the royal family. Sources told Rob Shuter that the Duke of Sussex violated a major royal rule, which is to “never leak, never speak.” Due to his breaking the rule, King Charles has reportedly refused to speak.
