Leonardo DiCaprio, Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King, the Kardashian-Jenners, Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld, among other VIPs, were in attendance at the $50 million nuptial. However, there was one celebrity, Sydney Sweeney, whose presence caught everyone’s attention at the ceremony. The star’s presence left many thinking about her connection with Bezos and his now-wife, Sanchez.
Now it has been revealed that Sweeney’s presence at the wedding was connected to her career. As per Page Six sources, the 27-year-old “is not friends with either one of them.” However, Sweeney “came to pay respects to the ‘boss,’ just like in the old days of Hollywood,” since she was invited to their wedding.
The report mentioned that “The White Lotus” star is starring in Bezos’ Amazon MGM Studios’ upcoming project. Sweeney is reportedly working with Amazon on a film adaptation of the hit video game, “Split Fiction.” Previously, she also starred as Pippa in Amazon Studios’ 2021 erotic thriller film “The Voyeurs.”
According to Variety, the movie will be directed by Jon M. Chu from the script by “Deadpool & Wolverine” screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Along with Story Kitchen’s Timothy I. Stevenson and Hazelight Studios’ founder Josef Fares and COO Oskar Wolontis, Sweeney is also an executive producer on the project. However, whether or not she will be playing Zoe or Mio is yet to be clear, but the film is actively looking to cast her co-star.
