Miley Cyrus Addresses Backlash Over ‘Ignoring’ Fans At Recent Event

Miley Cyrus was recently criticized for “ignoring” her fans at the album signing event in London. Many thought her behavior was “rude” at the signing of unreleased “Something Beautiful” vinyl alongside Naomi Campbell. But now, Cyrus has seemingly responded to the criticism in her recent Instagram post. The singer shared that the “record store requested no photos” at the event due to the huge turnout of fans. However, despite the criticism, the singer thanked her fans who made the event extra special with their presence, saying she loves them all.

Miley Cyrus claims ‘record store requested no photos’ in Instagram post

Miley Cyrus is once again trending after some of her clips from her album singing event in London went viral. The musician was at the Rough Trade East record store on June 21 to sign unreleased “Something Beautiful” vinyl. She was present at the event alongside friend and collaborator Naomi Campbell.

However, the singer’s lack of interest in communicating with her fans or getting photographed didn’t sit well with netizens. When the event video was posted on Reddit, several users expressed their disappointment over Cyrus’s behavior. Some thought she is more keen on chatting with the model rather than her die-hard fans.

However, on Tuesday, the 32-year-old singer addressed the reason for her behavior on social media. In her Instagram post, she clarified her action, saying, “The record store requested no photos due to the unexpected last minute turn out.”

She then expressed gratitude towards her fans for making the event a memorable one. “I wanted to gift my Smilers [her fandom name] an exclusive experience & unreleased vinyl to thank you for the love you’ve shown me in the UK over the years,” the pop star mentioned in her post about vinyl signing.

The former Disney star even revealed that she was happy to see “so many familiar faces” and meet “some sweet new ones” at the event. Despite the backlash, Cyrus thanked “everyone who came out to celebrate” their single. She ended the post saying she loves them all. With the clarification, Cyrus now hopes to regain the trust and love of her fans once again.
