Lizzo recently opened up about the use of the highly talked-about weight loss medication Ozempic as part of her weight loss efforts. During her conversation with Trisha Paytas on the “Just Trish” podcast, the “Cuz I Love You” singer revealed that she had tried Ozempic. She said she had “tried everything” in her efforts to lose weight.

During the podcast, Lizzo dove deep into the topic of weight loss. The singer-rapper explained, “It’s just the science for me, calories in versus calories out.” She added, “Ozempic works because you eat less food.” Emphasizing her point, she said, “That’s it.”

Lizzo then explained how the medication works. She said, “It makes you feel full, so if you can just do that on your own and get mind over matter.” The “Special” singer added, “It’s the same s**t.” After that, podcast host Trisha Paytas asked how she was able to control her food intake without a shot. In response, Lizzo said it was a change in her workout regimen that helped her achieve it. She also revealed that she is no longer vegan.

Lizzo explained, “When I was vegan, I was consuming a lot of fake meats, I was eating a lot of bread, I was eating a lot of rice.” She added, “I had to eat a lot of it to stay full, but really I was consuming like 3,000 – 5,000 calories a day.” The singer further revealed that she now eats whole foods, including chicken, fish, and beef.
